Not really. I don't manufacture saliva anymore, I can only eat stuff dripping w/ grease. I eat a chicken breast w/ a Ton(!!!) of dipping sauce to choke it down, and a salad soaked in dressing, every nite, that's all I eat each day. I don't like eating (chocking/swallowing/etc), so I really don't much. My teeth are all breaking/cracking/cavities/etc cause of the saliva.... imma wind up looking like a meth addict in a couple years, haha. I shouldn't complain (I do complain too much), I am still above ground and recovered enuff to do stuff and speak/talk somewhat legibly . I hope you are doing well Brother(!) .... Thank you always for helping me mentally, supporting me through the cancer. You are a honestly Good human <3
Sorry to read that things didn't get back closer to normal with that issue. And if anyone has a right to complain, it's someone who's been through as much crap as you have.
@SpeedyE Need some help man, momma showed up last night with 3 kids in tow. One of the kids had a fishing lure snagged in it’s fur or jowel. Left side lower jaw. Not enough he couldn’t eat cake, but enough to be a hazard if he got it hooked on something else. I’m not worried about picking him up and getting it out. But, what is mom and the siblings going to do when the monster grabs the little one?
You would need to trap momma, she'll rip your face off if you mess with her baby. With the situation you describe, depending on where you live, State Fish and Game would likely be willing to trap the little guy and help him out. I live in NH and our guys here would try to help I'm sure. I called for a Canada goose with a funky wing that was hanging out with an assortment of other waterfowl in a small pond near a trail I used to ride and they came out and caught it and sent it to a rehab person that they work with and, I assume it is living a safer life.
Please call this number, and do the keypad thing, and someone will call you back w/ number of someone that can help you locally. 1-855-WILD-HELP Do not call DNR/Conservation/agencies/etc..... in my experiences They are Monsters, will kill it, tell you how to kill it, or tell you you be arrested if you handle/feed/help it. Monsters. I got lot of horror stories about conservation. The baby may or may not bite you (for sure, rabies shots to be safe, if bitten). The mother may or may not rush you, crap shoot 50/50%. imho/experience, She would probably keep distance from you, making noise, but keep distance.... but who knows 100%. On all (possible) rabies bites, the offending animal(s) will be rounded up, their heads removed, dry iced and sent to lab to check for virus in brain. Please, Call that number and they will find local help, for you/coonie. GodBless
Wouldn't even be mad at that picture. Side note... ya'll ever tried to capture a bald eagle? Cause let me tell ya haha... they don't like it. One time at a sleepover camp I used to go to as a kid, a group of us and a counselor came upon a bald eagle in a field with an injured wing. He did NOT want to be cornered. Eventually threw a blanket over him and held him until the rescue people came and took him to a sanctuary. Their claws are something else man, that dude was PISSED OFF!
These are coons I hand feed. Grabbing it up will be easy. Keeping it contained while not getting shredded by mom will be the trick.
Pick it up, quickly walk it into the house asap(!), toss it back outside when you are done. God Bless you! <3
Well, here seems like a logical place to put this… What do you do with a massive corpse of a skunk stuck under a pile of scaffolding planks? I wonder if our answers will differ…
