If I was going to get a street bike that I would later race, it would either a 750, or Liter bike, or a Ducati. I can't stand an I4 MW bike on the street. They are aggravating. I don't like the screaming ass motor, lack of low-mid-range, having to constantly mess with the gearbox, etc. I would rather have a Liter bike or a Twin. But if it had to be an I4, I would get a 750.
Great, now I am seriously considering the 750. Anybody want to trade for one of my well sorted SV650s? My wife already said it is OK.
Clearly the only logical choice is the 675R. Best of all worlds! The gsxr750 is an antiquated turd pile.
I was just about to say that if I was going to get a MW bike for the street that I would eventually race, it would be a 675R. It has the same torque as the 750, but is much lighter, narrower and more fun to ride. Plus it has much better quality components and it is legal in the HWT race classes. To me, it would be a no brainer.
Don't get me wrong, It was a nice bike in 06-09 But for today's $$$ I don't want 10 year old technology.
