PW 50s - Best place to buy three new bikes

    TrentThomas .........

A friend of mine has three sons - four-year-old triplets.

He's shopping to get three identical new PWs, which I think is very cool. I told him I would ask around a bit and see if there were any deals available.

I think his best price locally is around $3600 out-the-door. Is this about right?

    Thanks.

Al Goodwin usually chimes in with a dealership in Alabama that has some really great deals on new bikes.

Problem is there's not much room to play on the PW50's. Just not much mark-up.

Is this gentleman going to need helmets and all?

Excellent deal. Lake Hill in MS sells em' for 1100.00 each. Plus you have to pay taxes back home. 3600.00 for three bikes, buy local.

But, buy your parts and accessories from Darrin.:)

I got one that looks almost new at a good price. My son out grew it.

Yep, he will need enough gear to get them all started. I recommended that he get at least helmets, gloves, and chest protectors, but he might also go for boots and more.

I could pick' em at VIR if the price is right :)

    Serious?

Email me at [email protected]. Only problem will be sizing the helmets and stuff.

Your right about the "not much room to play with". Plus, at todays gas prices any savings Gerald at D&H may be able to give would be eaten up by the cost of driving from NC to Bama.

Give him a call anyway, you and I may both be suprised at what he could do....256-739-1840 ask for Gerald.

    TrentThomas .........

Thanks - I'll ask him, but I think he's looking to keep them all the same.

    TrentThomas .........

Thanks, Allen - I just spoke to Gerald and he did quote a smokin' price. I'll see if the transportation is manageable...

Good guys at D&H...my hometown Kawi/Yamaha dealer. I'm sure they got tired of seeing my 18yo self oogle the "new" 1991 ZX7s.

I did though spend my share of money in there keeping my '81 KDX175 going. Not a very good bike but better than my mid 70s Suzuki TS125 that it replaced. When I took that TS to a bike shop to help me repair it the guy looked at it and told me,"I'd just throw the sum' bitch away" It cost me $100 and leaked oil so bad that I kept a gallon of burned oil in the truck to fill it ever couple of hours.

Too bad I'm not heading that way anytime soon else I would cart them back. I don't plan on going back until Barber...

He'd have to sell a bunch of PW50's to make any money at that price.
