Someone told me that the 96 and 98 TZ250 Pistons are identical and are interchangeable. Can anyone verify this? I've measure the two and they are identical except for the circumference of the raised round part on the piston head. Thanks as usual.
I've never heard anything to the contrary. I know the connecting rods are supposed to be lighter on the 97-99's than the 92-96's... Could it have anything to do with the 97's and later being designed to run on unleaded? If the part #'s start with 4DP, you should be fine. I cannot assume responsibility if your bike blows up of course. Monty
