We went skiing in 1976 to Jackson Hole, WY. The snow sucked that year so we took a bus trip up to Yellowstone to ride in the Tucker snow cats up to Old Faithful. Rolly was a John Deere dealer from Indiana who was also in our cat. A BIG fellow dressed in his green JD snow suit (I mean BIG). We get to Old Faithful , see the show and Rolly decides to get a close-up pic of some buffaloes. They were in a small grove of pine trees along the path that goes up to the overlook. Rolly climbs the fence and approaches the biggest of these buffs who then meanders away and Rolly follows out into a field. Once out in the field that Buffalo turns around and decides the time is right to play with the big green thing that's chasing him! You wouldn't think a guy who weighs over 300 lbs could run that fast but I've seen it with my own eyes.

 

Not gonna lie, I could be one of these dumbasses... I mean who DOESN'T want to pet the big bisondoggy?

I have. I worked at a zoo during my sophomore year of high school. You could get up on the other side of the bigass rack you put the hay bales into and feed him by hand.

I had absolutely no illusions about what would happen if I ever tried to get into the pen with him. He'd charge the fence and headbutt the half-inch cables and bow them out pretty good.

But if you had food and we're on the other side of that rack, you could cop a feel.
