There are ways to do this however support has been somewhat limited. There are also multiple ways to accomplish the same task.
Some phone vendors have cables to attach the phone to the notebook as a modem. Other have specific PCMCIA cards that are capable of attaching to the wireless networks or dialing in to some other form of ISP.

Do some research on the web about your specific phone and if there are any options available for this task. Also look for a the option of purchasing a PCMCIA card from them and adding it to your current contract with them.
