P2048 engine code

My F350 just puked this code. Will it put the truck in limp mode? Do I need to fix it ASAP. TIA.

 

Did you run your DEF fluid low? Mine threw that code cause I ran the DEF fluid low. Showed I had an 1/8 left on the guage but I found out that gauge isnt accurate. Dont let it go low. It will eventually go into limp mode. Fill it with 2 boxes of DEF and clear the code. Should be good. This is unless you are in a freezing climate and teh DEF fluid froze in the tank.

 

What year? I can print and email trouble shooting for that code if you want. One issue could be low D.E.F. make sure its full.
