The translation left me a bit confused. We talking Alabama, step sister? Or is this full on West Virginia half sister from the same dad?

So not even “dad remarried, new wives daughter from previous marriage” thing.

They have the same dad!! Yooo, is that even legal?

I read it as stepsister. Said he met her when he was 13 when his dad remarried. Stepmoms daughter from previous relationship

I read it as same father, different mothers. So that makes her his half sister, related by blood. To each his own, they are not hurting anybody.

Wouldn't this be Olives in Pimentos, though.

    Or....

    Damn, I don't wanna know.

Various sites say it half-sister, and some say STEP-sister. The first is illegal everywhere I know of. The second is not, but quite creepy.

More likely stepsister. To have same father, unless his dad was stepping out, if dad divorced when Miguel was eight, and he is now 25, she would be maximum 17 now.

The article linked in the OP seems to indicate full-on step sister with no blood relationship. I don't see what the big deal is but then again my entire mother's half of the fam is from West Virginia. I'm used to going to family reunions to meet chicks.

    Wait, wut?

I kinda, sorta, with a hubble telescope see your point but i would think the birth defect rate would be fairly high in this case.
