This series has been both terrifying and fascinating. Italian engineering is... well it's something lol.
That's it. Screw everyday, luxurious comfort...I want everyday raucous, bone-jarring, ear-splitting excitement as my DD. ULTIMA EVOLUTION BRITISH SUPERCAR - YouTube
A guy did a youtube series of his build. They send you the pieces and you put it together. Brutally simple sportscar. His caught fire but anyway it's a good series. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsRN7p7ExKoTzAVfR9OCtnXZmZ6WFqeuy
Been lookin' at Ultimas for a long time... ULTIMA GTR BREAKS RECORD ON TOP GEAR TRACK - YouTube ...love the brake dive images. This one is set up for the street, 4“ of ground clearance. Top Gear Lap Record Ultima GTR 720 - YouTube ...couple years later and faster, from the cockpit.
How much are they? Do you need a donor engine? EDIT: I just found their website, I don't see prices yet. Are you thinking of building one?
I looked at them a bit a few years back. They used to have an order sheet on their site with all the pricing but now you need to email and ask for a quote. Strangely enough, the engine they use is an LS or LT SBC rather than a little inline 6.
I've watched the kits go from $40-$60+K...there are upgrade options. You supply the powerplant. An engine builder/supplier out of Ohio is suggested. Factory assembled, turnkey units went from $100-$120+K. Turnkeys are not available in the US, no engine installed. If I had a space, yes, I would think about building one. Nothing crazy, but the whine of a blower on top of a 6.2 sounds appropriate for a DD. If I wanted to terrorize traffic, I would go N/A with high compression and a cam from hell...not a DD.
This dance seems to tell a story but I can't figure it out. Help me out here. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=933499686988115
