Which way do you point it?

    It's a matter of perspective.

dave3593 What I know about opera I learned from Bugs Bunny

If you just put fan blades on top of the trucks that were hooked to the drive shaft, the wind going down the road would keep it going and you could turn the engines off. "Those people" don't want you to know about over unity power!

Be careful experimenting with treadmills and mobius strips or you make all the toilets in the northern hemisphere spin the wrong way!

Well that’s the problem .. my idea was to add a wheel and shaft with a Rotor mounted to it so it would fly . Kinda the opposite of planted, no?
I was also going to throw in a helmet , no older than five years as to abide by the rule book .

    Up !

It is my understanding it doesn't really have an up.

Damn ... shit kinda hard to fly without UP ...

    Wait...we want them to fly?
Why don't we just conduct this experiment in space? I'm pretty sure NASA is open to suggestions to keep the ISS crew busy.

    Rotors don’t work in space

edit : neither does the helmet I was going to throw in

That's the point...we want to keep variables to a minimum or this thread will take off into another dimension.

Rockets on the ends of the rotors should fix that right up.

The same science denier ... the rotor can and will spin like a MoFo .... it just will not create any lift ...

But you would still need a helmet if aforesaid spinning rotor hit your melon :D

I don't see how this is feasible.
We're gonna need a total re-design of the space station.

You're not thinking about the orientation of the rockets. They have an up. That brings us to back to a vertical load discussion about rotor blades.

Why. Did you forget about the giant dump truck?

Please embellish your theory on how rocket orientation will create lift for a rotor in space .. asking for a friend

You just wait. We'll be mining asteroids any decade now.

We way past land based dump trucks ... we’re in outer space

    Just not with rotor craft
