The difference between mice and men. Imagine if todays youth had to fight the Vietnam war. You'd have Instagram posts showing off their Bangcock hotel room, blog posts about their exciting trips to the shit pit, tails of adventure hikes in the jungle. They'd take selfies to show off how effective their new Vietnamese fasting diet has been. All very carefully curated to appear as if they have the best war life possible.

Today's youth do fight in wars, just in a different locale. We took pictures in Nam too, and if we'd had Instagram, dead pics of Charlie would have been all over it. Never underestimate the fighting spirit of today's warriors.

 

They used to put dead pics of Charley on the 6 o'clock news, along with the daily body count.
