The Gold Medal goes to Andretti for doing it in an open wheel car
Damn....I have that on tape somewhere. Where's my vcr?
Mario worth noting and he was like 67 at the time or something right?
Mario, Nazareth PA resident. Which reminds me...Kraft foods is opening a plant in Mario's hometown................................Going to call it "Cheeses of Nazreth".....Padum dum.
Who are those guys surrounding @Steeltoe?
Somewhat related would have to be the drag racer (I think it was Don Garlits.) whose rail literally did a 12:00 wheelie at full speed, did a pirouette, and came back down with four wheels on the ground going backwards. He had the presence of mind to stomp on the accelerator, bringing it to a stop.
You ain't been around long, have you?
That was the I-talian cam discussion group led by the Mad One. A jolly bunch, one and all.
Yes, it was Don Garlits.
I think the guy on the far right was Buck? I cant remember his name, but I got a great store about him at a hooters near jennings
Buckwild = Kevin Jenkins IIRC. Stand up dude who corners low.
He loves squirrels.
...and there was that unfortunate bet with Jeff Lever.
So as many of you know I am not a big guy, I walked into Hooters near Jennings one night with some of my endurance team mates in tow and walk up to buck wild and jokingly told him to fuck off and lets go outside.... My team mates almost shit themselves, smallest white dude in the place, picking a fight with the biggest black dude in the place, then buck and I laughed at that, and he picked me up and tossed me across the room like a rag doll.. Man that guy is funny as hell, and a great dude. Then we bought beer and had a good night...
Webber launched twice that weekend but one wasn't caught on film, and his teammate once. Only took three lift offs before Merc pulled from the race.
Separate names with a comma.
