I'm looking for some ideas on a new business to start? What businesses have you seen do good in this economy?

I am thinking about being a pimp and providing services to pipeliners! 100-150 MF with cash in their pocket pissing it away at the watering hole.

street sweeping - contract with munis
septic tank contractor. probably not too many new installs, more maintenance and repairs
newbi yogurt (I might open one)
if I were 20 years younger I would open an insurance brokerage.

go through your yellow pages and the businesses with the most full page ads is where the money is.

auto body shops
glazing

Where I'm looking is government contracts. They will always have money to throw around.

 

RTO. Apparently the money you have, the more you spend.

 

Neighborhood protection, Concrete, and Union Labor.
