My wife's cat is a jealous little prick

I suppose it is a matter of perspective. I love my dog a great deal and consider him a family member, yet I was not offended by JoeC's post. I did not for one second think that he was seriously recommending that someone poison their own pet. I tell my kids that I am going to give them to gypsies all the time. They know that this would never really happen, and I would hope that anyone else who heard me would also know that. Obviously, a joke can cross the line. I don't think Joe's comment warranted the attention it got.
