OP, your mom has got mad skillz. I'm sorry some others do not feel that way. They were probably bottle fed from birth. I have a quilt that my grandmother made around the time I was born. I am glad I still have it. Just like some of the motorcycle stuff I have from my dad.
Dig the floral handmade rug! The quilts are really awesome, never that about using old racing t-shirts. Your mom is very much the artist. We have a annual rose show in my hometown and many hardcore rose breeders show up from all over the US with some really beautiful flowers. Truly scientific and green thumb art!
I have the one my paternal grandma made me, as well. I have ALL her personal effects, including pictures of my ancestors. Likewise, I have all my paternal grandpa’s personal effects. I have a ~140yr-old Victorian rocker from my great-grandparents, that’s currently being restored. My dad’s childhood rolltop desk (currently being restored), baby shoes & spoon, school pictures, etc. In short, I have a bunch of my ancestors’ stuff. Over the last month, I’ve been going through all of it to pass over to my daughter. She’s totally into our family history, which I’m happy about. Once they’re gone, our memories are all that’s left.
I kinda thought "CornSheik" would be apropos. PS. Awesome quilts. Folks now aren't interested in that kinda thing. We're too dependent on google to tell us anything we might ever want to know, and no-one seems to actually KNOW anything anymore.
