I don't hate it. Yes, a battle down to the last race is better, but seeing a master at work is actually pretty awesome to watch.
In 2016, 2 Yamahas on the Podium 2017, Yamaha 4th 2018 , first Yamaha was VR46 in 8th position. not looking like a good trend, but Quattro may do better than expected. Misano was definitely a Yamaha track well outside of MM93, because every track is basically his.
I noticed his pucks were really thick earlier this year and figured it had something to do with his issues on the honda but it looks like they've been that way for at least a couple years... interesting and I wonder the reasoning.
I would guess that as Lorenzo prefers to stay on the bike as opposed to hanging off, that the longer pucks allow him to remain centered on the seat and gauge his lean angle.
