Wet - 46,99,93 Dry - 46,93,99 Wet- Everyone seems to be getting comfortable with the Michelin wet tires and this circuit they know how fast it drys so it won't be such a big ? mark. Lorenzo seemed to come to grips with the wet tires at Brno so I don't think it will affect him like it has earlier in the year unless it's just ball shrinking cold. Rossi knows he has to beat Lorenzo and shadow Marc to try and get him to make a mistake. Marc is in the drivers seat, as long as he doesn't hit the ground in race from here to Valencia, the title is his. Hoping for a dry race.
Yes. At the point he pulled in he was just as fast as Rossi and Crutchlow. When he came back out on wets he was faster than everyone but Crutchlow. If his tire hadn't had the chunking issue he probably would have been on the box.
Cal wins the Press Conference. 8x mention of his pace 3x mention of his outstanding Brno performance. 4x mention of his kid Rossi second, just because he gets the most questions.
Still early, but weather forecast calls for gradually worsening conditions between FP1 and race day. 80% chance of rain on Sunday with highs in the low to mid-60s. I also hope it stays dry, but I think a wet race has the biggest chances of keeping the championship somewhat interesting, as Marquez seems to be on cruise control and only taking chances when necessary.
http://resources.motogp.com/files/results/2016/CZE/MotoGP/RAC/analysisbylap.pdf?v1_0eacd7a3 Nope, He was just as fast before he had his front tire issue. I'm not a Lorenzo fan by any stretch, but I can see that he was just as fast in the wet before he had his tire problem and after he got a new set that wasn't chunking. I hope Rossi beats him in the championship but judging by this race and the lap times. I'd say he has gotten handle on how to ride the Michelin wets. So to count him out just because it's wet from here out would be a fools choice. it's gonna be the driest, hottest race in the history of british motorcycling so, i got Lorenzo (warming up my disbelief that this stinkin boot will race a duc next year)
If he goes with hard/hard as a rain tire choice, I'm guessing he's going to be golden. He's already proven beyond any shadow of a doubt he's got the courage to ride the lesser tires..
Completely destroying your tires with 5 laps to go should be praised for good strategy? Where did he finish again?
