I heard this am from a fellow racer that we lost Jim Swartout yesterday at Mid O in a practice crash. I hope others will join me in expressing our sympathy and condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed . He was a class act and respected greatly by all ! Steve Mahanes :(

That is very sad, especially since, from reading the other thread that he started, he seemed so happy to be going.

    My condolences to his family

Man that sucks. I haven't had a chance to tell anyone here at Grattan yet but I know they'd all pass on their condolences as well.

Mark - if you need anything on our end call my cell phone.

    YAM#849 y'all watch this...

Several of us in 200GP had a talk about how we truly missed having Jim out there with us this weekend. But we had a hard fought battle, with good sportsmanship by all. I'm sure that's what he'd have wanted us to do.

I was looking for this news in the general section. When I didn't see it I started to post something, then realized it would most likely be here in the Vintage forum.

:( Deepest Sympathy for Jim's family and friends.
