I heard this am from a fellow racer that we lost Jim Swartout yesterday at Mid O in a practice crash. I hope others will join me in expressing our sympathy and condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed . He was a class act and respected greatly by all ! Steve Mahanes
That is very sad, especially since, from reading the other thread that he started, he seemed so happy to be going. My condolences to his family

His brothers name is Roger and his address is: 614 Maple Ct, Brownsburg, IN 46112 I will be calling Roger to see if WERA Vintage can be of any help.

Several of us in 200GP had a talk about how we truly missed having Jim out there with us this weekend. But we had a hard fought battle, with good sportsmanship by all. I'm sure that's what he'd have wanted us to do.

This was one of the worst weekends at the track I have ever had.when I found out about Jim it very hard to get back out on the track,he was truly a great person and liked by all.Godspeed Jim and my prayers to his family.I will miss him dearly. TIM #309
