Just like the R7 and the RS660, Kawi will sell everyone they make... The bike will handle fine and will probably weigh in around 350-360 and make 75hp superstock prepped.

    No.
    - The subframe is an extension of the main frame.
    - Fork preload only.
    - Just another bike popular in the rest of the world due to insurance/licensing so, tame street bike that looks WSB.
    - Unnecessary electrics including smart phone abilities? This has Euro-rider written all over it. $$$$
    - Weight.
    - At what price does it become a worthy track weapon?

    Yes.
    - Ditch the electrics.
    - Fully adjustable suspension.
    - Diet.
    - Removable subframe.
    - When the aftermarket support develops.

Trying to buy one pending what I hear back from dealer and how fast I can sell a z900 in MD. It took the 7th or 8th dealer to actually have one in stock, most of them have sold the 1-2 they’ve gotten. OTD pricing is the same across all the dealers save one goofball in PA.

I plan on leaving this mostly stock, flash and emissions delete, using as an occasional street bike, and something to goof off with at track days and bully my ninja 400 friends with.

I've been on the fence about a 'small' bike for some time. A little 400 sounds like fun, but I was pretty smitten with the 20 minutes of track time I got on an RS660 recently. It'd have to feel considerably smaller/lighter/different than that to get my money being a similar price.

I'm also far too cheap and would just buy a salvage or already track prepped one in a few years.

You know what I didn't know? (and I hate to admit it surrounded by 100 gray market bikes every day)
Kawasaki made that bitch up until '99-'00.
We have way more ZX250's come thru here, only a few 400's here and there,,, but they are cool....

Think up to 03 in UK.
AFM was full of gray bikes, mostly Honda's. We had couple on our team and raced one which was I think 92 and had little different frame, race version. The one on picture is spare and ss version.
We still have both of them, just rebuilt engine on race one couple years ago.

I'm planning on getting in to one assuming they don't axe it within 2 years. That is my time-frame, 2 years from now.

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I'd much rather purchase a bespoke Racing Chassis for a modern FZ-07 or Honda Hornet than any of the currently available South Pacific built small bikes.

That actually looks better than I thought given all of the complaining. Dare I say trellis like?

The KTM moto2 has a steel trellis frame. Is that a piece of shit too? (don't answer that)
