Been listening to a lot of his stuff lately, and coming away with a whole new appreciation for him. Sure, there’s the fun songs like Leroy Brown and You Don’t Mess Around with Jim, but he’s got so many other fantastic songs. He’s got a way of making you feel exactly what he’s feeling when he’s singing. I’ve always been a big fan of his, but after “rediscovering” him, I’m drawn right back in. So sad that he’s gone; makes me wonder how far he would’ve gone in the music world. RIP Jim…
