Speaking of Purple Helmets- http://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/no-tt-entertainment-on-douglas-prom-this-year/
They might be cynical about it, but the fact that they felt the need to comment at least means it did make them feel some concern. Especially since Padgett's is a very serious team. Laughter is above all a means of defense...
The helmets are cool and fun because of the tradition, but most of the street activity on the prom is retarded. I've never really been excited about the atmosphere down there generally.
The Bushy's tent is fun. And they had "Closer to the Edge" playing at the theater that's right at the bottom of the hill going up to St. Tinian's from the promenade. I'll never forget Huey yelling for "KABABISH" on our way back to the apartment completely shitfaced at 2AM. Colors was fun, and that Indian place along the promenade has great Curry & Fries (at 3am, also completely shitfaced).
yeah, but the girl from Peel that tried to get you to marry her and bring her to the US was kinda scary.

Been following the Classic updates on twitter this afternoon. I still haven't watched the whole Launch Event. Usually some great interviews, lots of Guinness on tap, and McPint with endless dick jokes.
