Threads like this always make me wonder about the buzz talk of model years before they're released...only to realize later what turds they were. If only we knew back in '08 that Yamaha would make the best 600 available and they peaked...not sure if that would have been good, or just depressing
We’ll, the cat is out of the bag. It appears the track version is based on the current R1. Anyone know if it will be offered in the US?
How does WERA treat "off road only" bikes. Are they eligible for Superstock? Or Superbike only? Or do the folks that can afford these things only do track days?
I’m curious how this will play out at the world level too. I guess at some point the rules will remove the “road going” requirements and just rebrand to production machines offered to the general public to purchase.
Didn’t Yamaha US already offer a track only R6 and R1? Maybe it was through Graves? I think the also offered the little bike as well?
