That's usually the way I go. I imagine 285 is much worse now with everything going on with 85 and now west 20. Don't now where the 20 incident is exactly on that road.
Yes. Take 285 around the north side. Depending on time - if middle of the night type stuff then 285 down the east side to 20 should still work.
just make sure you are on the road by 4am depending upon where in Greenville. Now rush hour coming south on I-85 towards the city starts earlier (6am) and the exit from 85 to 285 is packed because all the people that would take 85 into downtown are having to take 285 west to 75 or east/south to I-20. This latest screw up will make the 85 folks suffer even more. I would just look at Waze and see what it says. good luck. really.
I doubt 20 will still be messed up Thursday. They should have a repair done tonight and just need to let whatever they pave it with set.
if you insist on it - and i bet the local news tell everyone not to do it, you can even drive "through" with a local detour. i'd leave at 9 am, if i was you. then rush hour in ATL is "over". for realz
That sucks. Really want to be there early. Gotta lot of stuff to do at the track. He'll I may leave at 3.
Woohoo - we made national news coverage again! I do hope the guy on the bike will be okay. Scary shit.
2 lanes westbound are now open. They are expecting all lanes to be open tomorrow. (What's the ruling on linking to an article that also has one of those annoying autoplay videos at the top?) Looks like the motorcyclist was on a S1000RR
