Master bullet: People that call themselves racers, then choose to do a trackday instead, are not racers. Racers are dedicated to an entire season, not just whenever it suits them.
That's going to be fairly dependent on what the business is. If your wife works for a mega-corporation, odds are their brand recognition is so strong (particularly if they're not ecommerce focused) that advertising doesn't really move the needle for them. If you're talking an ecommerce business, it's a different story
eWERA. All the racing, all the time. The competition is real. Come join and get your bench on the grid!
Justin...we all recognize you want to help. However, before you even start commenting on being off topic, be advised, once the thread is released into the wild, only Pooh can eliminate thread drift...usually by locking the thread.
Ahrma....vrra too. Saturdays are heats. Sundays are finals. I think Saturday grids are based on season points, no points it's by registration.
Roll your eyes all you want. It's okay to say "I race", but don't call yourself a racer if you're not in for the entirety of the series' season.
I was never a racer then, either. Couldn’t kick my addiction to yard saling a bike or two or pulling the pins in the motor grenades.
Basic example: Explain why people buy a piece of shit TORO mower even though another company that is “no name” aka doesn’t advertise, makes a far superior product. Advertising. your comment is simply untrue and incorrect.
Sounds like someone bought a consumer line product and is pissy it didn’t perform like a pro line product would. Here a hint: if you’re buying it at Walmart, it’s the lowest caliber product the BOD will still let wear the badge.
Doing an entire season to rightfully call yourself a racer is like doing cock push-ups...you really only need to do one.
no, sounds like someone who owned a commercial construction and farming equipment business and sold it for a pretty penny and knows all these things. Here’s a hint: everything is shit, there is no “pro-line”, except for the ones that don’t advertise, another hint, Ferrari doesn’t need to advertise, the people who have the money are aware, except in the world of equipment, the ferraris aren’t that much more expensive, instead you pay for the quality, not commercials. Advertising is effective in brainwashing and raising the price of a shit product.
