I need a new handgun...lets talk guns today. :D

Discussion in 'General' started by Kris87, Mar 17, 2010.

  1. Now see, you done messed it up. I was just about to go watch it, then you told me to go watch it.

Now I can’t watch it right now, because you ain’t the boss of me. Now I gotta wait till enough time has passed that it’s my decision to go watch it, not because you told me too.

If I had once taken a Bauer .25ACP in on trade, which I obviously have not, I would have to say it was the noisiest, most unpleasant handgun I have ever had the pleasure of not owning.

Speaking of 10MM I'm surprised he doesn't have a Delta Elite. Or a Bren 10.

For me it's mainly my head position. I literally touch the charging handle with my nose.

    Looking for a officer’s model 1911 in 9mm.

What should I be looking at ? (Please no Wilson Combat etc. not paying 3k for a non competition pistol no matter how much I’d like to.)

I’be got an STI marauder and a DVC 3Gun . While they are great guns . I’m not looking to spend that kind of cash.

Been looking at the Sig having trouble finding anything in stock remotely local though.

Quick count off the top of my head, I have 10 different calibers. And I only have 12 guns (that I can think of). And one of my two 9s is going up for sale. And I'm considering throwing up one of one of my 12 gauges for sale. So if both of those happen, I will actually have 10 guns in 10 different calibers.

  14. Just damn.

I’m not sure how many I have, but I know they are all either 9mm or .45ACP (aside from the AR’s).

I did it like that on purpose. I won’t even look at or pick up any other calibers. I end up with all kinds of different shit.

I tend to enjoy playing with and trying out different shit so it's kinda on purpose for me. By the way, you like buying shit. Want another new pistol?

  16. No!

I’m at 5 in the past 2 weeks. Plus all the optics and lights and spare magazines and shit for all of them.

I think I need to wait a few weeks before I get anything else.

....it probably won’t happen. But it sounds good. :D

I had a "citadel" officers or commander size, can't really remember. it was $400 at my dealer at the time, prob 7 years ago. Pretty accurate and reliable. My 1911 guru buddy went through it, swamped a couple springs, and proclaimed it "real shitty finish and fitting, but damned if it don't work". Made by Armscorp I think...??

I just decided I wanted nothing to do with a steel frame 45 1911 carry gun so traded it.

anyone build any ar's? specifically put together an upper together? ive seen a couple videos and dont seem too hard but im not looking to invest in certain tools just yet. Im in the middle of building two ar's and the plan was build the lowers then buy complete uppers.

It's not terribly difficult. I've only done it a couple times but learned by basically watching some videos.
