How many bikes have you gone through?

Discussion in 'General' started by zippytech, Jan 20, 2012.

  1. 2006 Gix 600 - Bought new/leftover, first bike.

2006 Gix 1000 - Bought 2 months later because a 600 was too slow for me.

(Rode it for 2-3 months and crashed it in the mountains)

2006 R1 - Had shipped from Oregon 1 week after crashing that one ^, it was shipped to the dealership to have aftermarket stuff (rearsets, levers, exhaust, etc) installed...went into the mountains and totaled it with 45 miles on the odometer.

2006 R1 - Bought 2 days after totaling that one ^ because i loved the bike...still have this one.

2005 Gix 600 - Bought used in '08, already prepped so i could start riding on the track. After crashing that R1 i figured shit needed to change before i end up dead.

(Only did 1 track day on it. Was totaled when i was t-boned in the Bowl at Tally in the last Novice session of the day). Compound collarbone fracture, 2 broken ribs, major concussion. Didnt ride for 6 months.

    2007 ZX6R - Street

(Modded the shit out of it, then got bored with it and sold it.)

2007 ZX6R - Bought 1 week later because i missed that one ^. Eventually ended up being my first race bike at the end of '08.

(Totaled when i was hit by another rider in my 2nd race weekend, broke the same collarbone again). Didnt ride for 4 months.

2008 Gix 750 - Bought while laid up from that ^. Rode it for 1 week on the street, then race prepped it. Raced it 2-3 weekends, got hit by another rider at Barber in T2, broken left wrist and right ankle. Didnt ride for 6 months.

    2008 Triumph Sprint ST

2009 675 - Bought while laid up from that ^. Rode it on the street for 3 weeks then race prepped it. Still have it.

2007 Duc 1098S - Got it already race prepped without ever seen a Duc in person. Tried to ride it 1 weekend and the ergo's sucked. Rode it for a total of 9 laps and got rid of it.

    2008 R6

    2010 R6

I think that is it. Seems like im missing one somewhere, but that is the jist of it. My problem is i like modding them. Once they are all modded and shit, i get bored and want a different one.

You are a damned lunatic. THAT is your problem. Not that bullshit you just stated as being your problem

And I think a few of those I didnt even know about :crackhead:. Did you hide them on purpose because we gave you so much shit?

tell the story about selling the second bike. The GSXR1000
and what about the ZX you sold anthony?

AND.... Id bet most of them that were "totalled" could have easily been fixed, you just didnt want to:rolleyes::D

  13. Start riding as in first time i ever sat on any kind of motorcycle? Or start riding as far as the track and/or racing?

I first started riding in '07. When I bought that Gixxer 600, I had never sat on a motorcycle of any kind. When i went to the dealership i was like "will yall go ahead and put it on the trailer for me while i look for a helmet?". I didnt want to tell them i didnt know how to start it. :D

Even funnier was when we got to my buddies house who was going to show me how to ride it. I was looking for the thumb thing (i had ridden ATV's) and he was like "no, you have to twist this to give it gas" and i was like "well that is pretty damn gay, are they all like this or just this Gixxer one?"

I rode on the street for a while, then did a few TD weekends, then did my first race at the end of '08. Then got hurt in my 2nd race (in '09).

because its pointless to sell them. I have the space. I would lose a lot of money if i sold them as mods dont add a lot of value to a vehicle when you sell them. they are also all different mods (different sized bores, different wheelbases, some used for drag, some for landspeed etc)

    and i am horder. :D

I have more 69 camaros than i have busas.

  18. HPPT

Seven RC30s or R7s is the moral equivalent of that program they have in China to save the pandas. Seven 'Busas? That's about as important as having a sanctuary for pigs.
