Run an ethernet cable from your Dsl / cable modem to the WAN or uplink or internet port on the router, run a ethernet cable from your computer to one of the numbered ports on the router.

    On your computer

Right click on My network places ---> right click on local area connection --> Make sure its enabled, if so click on properties. ---> highlight internet protocol for TCP/ IP ---> left click the properties button underneath it to the right. Make sure ip address is set to obtain automatically, as well as DNS.

You should be able to browse around just fine, unless you need to naviagate to the router to set things up. there will be instructions on that in the manual.
