I'd say the only workable approach is to have MA monitor the lifestyles of all their riders for "offensive and/or illegal" behavior. But then grids would have zero riders at each round. And the line in the sand that defines being guilty of said behavior will never be cast in concrete, making the exercise moot.

And I bet Herrin is in a position financially to not worry about consequences. Either current net worth or access to a future trust fund. I doubt you'd see a person that has to worry about having to support themselves in the future act in this behavior.

I would think financial security has nothing to do with anybodies negative outlook on his public highway shenanigans. Whether he's aready loaded or not it's still risking other fortunes.

 

His life, his choice...but I wouldn't bat an eye if he suffered severe consequences and it definitely doesn't help grow acceptance for the sport.
