Is it the golf course community? What will they do about the rifle range? Or is it the clowns on the south side of 68, because there really isn't much north of 68 outside of recreational land.
TrackRacket round number ??? Hopefully as successful as that dumb thing. I'm inclined to believe it will get similar results... Monterey County seems to want the race track and that's all that really matters when it comes to race tracks.
I'm already sick and tired of the new aliens here. "We like the vibe and easier way of life here...but now we want to force all kinds of bullshit that made the place we left a shit hole."
There should be a zoning ordinance that says if you live within so far of the racetrack you are barred from complaining. Raze those fuckers houses and not the racetrack.
Listened to an interesting “report” on this story where they reported on who the highway68 group is. I’ll try and find it but the short version is they like to sue to stop, slow down projects and try and shut down a lot of shit.
Couples threads on Reddit naming the main characters behind the bs. One name from the highway68 group pops up on articles from 10+yrs ago suing another developer. https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/196185o/nimby_neighbors_sue_california_racetrack_over/ Same group filed suit against this guy. https://www.corraldetierra.com/
The lawsuit has been settled: https://racer.com/2024/03/22/monter...f-laguna-seca-announce-settlement-of-lawsuit/
I wonder what the "new" bend over grab you're ankles agreement the owners agreed to to stop these assholes? And you just know another one is coming eventually, until its closed/gone.
