Bought a used set of BST wheels off a running gsxr 750 K7, the squid cut me a sweet deal on them last fall. The wheels are going on my K8 gsxr 750. This is the easy part, here's where I ran into some major issues. Bought a set of Brembo 310 mm T-drive rotors (gsxr 600/750 06-07 spec) and tried mounting them on the front BST and I got this: 5 bolt pattern on both the wheel and rotors but the mounting points are completely off. Threw back the oem junkers that the BST wheels came from the previous owner, they are also 320mm in diameter Are those 320mm rotors from a gen 1 Hayabusa or did some of the other models come factory equipped with 320mm rotors? What other gixxer might have the same (roughly 90mm spacing b/n mounting holes) 5 bolt pattern? I obviously need to send the T-drives back and swap them for something that could bolt on to that damn wheel but I don't know what would fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
I'm pretty sure the K1 and K2 GSXR's (01-02 750 and 1K and 01-03 600) and Busa rotors are the same 320mm.
Those appear to be 01-02 1000 rotors The 01-03 600 rotors were the same but the inner part was silver. The 00-03 750 were also the same but inner was gold. All were 320mm
I went into panic mode and busted out the measuring caliper earlier today, that bare BST wheel is identical to a bare 08-09 oem gsxr wheel, excluding the rotors bolt patter of course.
Be happy- those 320mm rotors are cheap and plentiful (at least they were a couple years ago when I used them on my SV with GSXR front end)
06-07 is 310mm with 5 bolts on each rotor, 6mm thick if not mistaken 08-09 is also 310mm with 6 bolts on each rotor, 0.5 mm thinner than 06-07
Should I just get the Brembo T-drives in 320mm? I'll just need another set of Zoran's spacers for my r1/r6 calipers and longer caliper bolts.
Couple mistakes I saw but....... 01-03 600/750 and 01-02 1000 = 320mm rotor 04-05 600/750 and 03/04 1000 = 300mm rotor 06-present 600/750 and 05-present 1000 = 310mm rotor But as others said, that rotor looks like an 01-02 gen, so if Brembo makes a T-drive for that gen then you could use that instead.
Thanks a lot! I am now expert on this subject myself, this is what the interwebs taught me: 01-03 600/750 and 01-02 1000 = 320mm rotor Inside Diameter: 69 mm Bolt Racing Diameter: 91 mm Bolt Hole Diameter: 10.4 mm 04-05 600/750 and 03/04 1000 = 300mm rotor Inside Diameter: 69 mm Bolt Racing Diameter: 91 mm Bolt Hole Diameter: 10.4mm 99-07 Hayabusa= 320mm rotor Inside Diameter: 69 mm Bolt Racing Diameter: 91 mm Bolt Hole Diameter: 10.4mm The hayabusa rotor spec is also a fit for: GSX R 600 97-00 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 600 01-03 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 750 96-97 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 750 00-03 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 750 98-99 FRONT - L / R -TL R 1000 03 FRONT - L / R -TL R 1000 98-02 FRONT - L / R -TL R 1000 98-03 FRONT - L / R -TL S 1000 97-01 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 1000 01-02 FRONT - L / R -GSX 1400 02-07 FRONT - L / R -GSX R 1000 01-02 FRONT - L / R 06 07 gsxr 600/750and 05 06 07 08 gsxr 1000= 310mm rotor Disc Inside Diameter: 100mm Bolt Racing Diameter: 120 mm Bolt Hole Diameter: 10.2 mm
You will need to send me the wheels and rotors and I'll figger all that shitte out on my 06 for ya. Bro.
