I picked up a '84 VF500 Interceptor for $300. The bike does run, but has oil problems to the heads. I saw about the kit to update it to allow better oil flow, so thats first on the list. Only other problems with it are body work related. The guy I got it from had a valve break, and tore up the head and piston. He replaced the piston, and got a used head for it. The motor feels fine now when I run it, but I don't want to run it anymore till I get the oil problem taken care of. Is this bike worth putting some money in to? I have seen a lot of parts and such on ebay for it, and have found companys that offer some pipes and body work for it, and over the winter I would like to go over the whole thing and do a full repair job on it. Anyone else have one of these bikes? Or has had one at one time? Any other problems I need to fix? Thanks for the help.
