This morning was the "bell ringing" ceremony at Children's Hospital to celebrate my daughter's last week of chemo! All scans/tests show that asshole cancer has retreated. Cherry on top- when she got home there was an acceptance letter from Otterbein University along with an academic scholarship that'll cover about 25% of 4 years tuition.
You're right, it's just that after a 7 month emotional beatdown it's gonna take a bit to sink in and feel the relief.
Outstanding news!!!! Have you researched any of these (may be some duplicates)? http://www.collegescholarships.org/scholarships/cancer-students.htm https://www.top10onlinecolleges.org/scholarships-for/cancer-survivors/ http://www.stupidcancer.org/directories/money.shtml http://www.startgrants.com/college-grants-for-cancer-survivors.php https://www.cappex.com/articles/money/cancer-scholarships
Congrats!!! My daughter was DX'd at 5 mos old and is now 12 y/o. I know how unbelievably tough the journey is. Great news!!!
