I have a few thousand Doge shares that were priced @ ..12, Pulled my initial investment dollary doos this morning. I'll sell when it hits 10k! .
OP if it makes you feel any better. In 2011 or 12 I was selling an engine for $900.. a friend offered to pay me $1000 in BTC and also offered to help me set up an account/wallet to get everything I needed going. I was friends with this person and I trusted them.. but in the end I just didn't know enough about crypto to really follow through with it.. What makes me feel better is that he sold almost all of his coins when BTC hit around $600.. he made damn good money, but fuckin hell does he regret what he did just as much as me not selling him my engine. lol I didn't get into crypto until 2015ish... FWIW theres no way i would have held until now anyway. i'd have offed that shit right about the same price mark he did.
Give your money to a good financial guy and walk away. I'm up almost 2k for the week. Should have borrowed every nickel I had against my house and gave it to him last spring when the market shit the bed. I could have retired.
This. All this "diamond hands" bullshit is getting tiresome. The stock market is literally becoming a shitty casino with people who have no business at the table throwing money at it they can't afford to lose based on a few stories of people who just happened to get REALLY FUCKING LUCKY. For every DeepFuckingValue there are thousands of idiots who decide to just jump into options trading with whatever small amount of savings they happen to have. I swear, patience is possibly the most egregious of the lost virtues of the 21st century........
Best advice I was given was "Invest the money you want to grow for later in life, day-trade the money you don't minding losing 100% of instantly"
That is me 100%%%. I have ZERO business I the market....got all antsy with the GameStop stuff.....gambled 12 grand.....I think I still have 4 of it. Meanwhile, my main account that is managed by the professional....is just chugging along.
When you've been around long enough, you'll find you win some and you lose some. All my best rocket ships have almost always been offset by rocket crashes. It's the more conventional stuff that's made me the most over time. I bought some GME for fun when it was causing all the market news. pocketed enough for a few weeks of starbucks, but not much else. I was willing to lose the $250 I put into it, but even that was kind of dumb for me. Why throw away $250? Just to say I participated
