is this on the old or new track?

old track but it should be the same or very close, exit of the chicane to turn one is the same. Every rider and bike is a little different so I'd say this is only a starting point, you might have to adjust.

no one has raced the new one yet.

Doesn't matter anyway: you gear for the finish-line run.

You may try posting on the CCS message board. There is info there about gearing from the tire tests this week.

2 teeth taller in the rear from summit point/vir/roebling gearing always worked for me.

    On my 01 SV650 I ran 15/43 and on my 99 SV700 I got it down to a 15/40. (Old layout.)
