Fzr1000 genesis (87/88) questions

Anyone have any experience out there on modifying one? 17" wheel swap? Tuning? Any old parts laying around? I'm getting an 87 with bushed con rods, fox shock, pipe and ow01 carbs (spare in box). Other than that it is a clean stock bike. Plan on doing some track days on it in hopes of making it a race bike at some point.

for the rear end just switch the swing arm with the wheel with a fzr1000 1989 it's almost a bolt on
