Well, looks like the future is starting now. This sure seems like it’d be amazing if the pricing makes sense. Clearly some drawbacks regarding infrastructure and such, but I’m surprised they’re coming to market so soon.

Ive been holding off buying a new truck waiting for this to come out. Just under 300,000 on my ecoboost and now I’m on the fence if I just buy another 3.5 ecoboost or get the first version of a new model on which I will more likely than not, need to take to a dealer to have services due to the full-electric/lack of data etc.

 

Saw a TV ad for it and it is interesting. For local use it makes perfect sense to me but as a hardcore work truck, hells to the no's.

 

Fuck that. I'm going as far the opposite direction as possible. I'll be getting a Raptor R when they come out. My hunch is the R will hold its value quite well over time as V8s become more and more scarce.

 

I don’t have that capacity. I must be a resistor.

I want a truck to pull a big trailer full of bikes long distances. This is not the solution, although it will certainly work for some people.
