I have a Brother MFC8860 B&W Laser Printer/Scanner/Fax I bought over 10 years ago and its taking care of my printing/scanning needs daily. I'm real happy with the Brother. Brother has a Color Laser MFC for about $350, maybe less on sale. If you need printing only, HP has a cheap laser for <150, but the replacement toner will cost you $67 when the half-loaded starter cart runs out.
Ah, the mimeograph. Messing with the master (Don't make mistakes while typing!) and then the ultra-flammable fluid, and the contact high from running the machine. The joys of my youth.
