What brand/type damper works on a an EX500 (post '94). I hav'nt been able to find any made specifically for it. I know Daytona makes a generic one that could be "engineered" to work. Any pics of your setup would be very helpful.
I bought a fork tube clamp from Street and Comp, used a generic straight-rod type, and mounted it to the bracket under the tank. Worked great. There's plenty of room for it between the tank and the cylinder head, and it was well-protected ...
Ok so I need a 37mm clamp. Any idea what length stroke? Ideally I'd like it to be enough to not have to modify the stops. I found some good mtg pics herehttp://www.classicbikes.com/ex500racing.html, but no specs on the damper.
This was what I used, if I recall correctly. Seemed to work fine; then again, I was pretty slow ... http://www.oldbikebarn.com/Motorcycle_Parts/Steering-Damper/Black-85mm-Stroke-Steering-Damper
