nope, from the rulebook... would be legal in dsb and clubman classes E SUPERSTOCK EXPERT & NOVICE 200-250cc 4-stroke water-cooled twins 200-250cc 4-stroke air cooled twins
Clubman, Yes but not really competitive with only 27HP, DSB ? Says twins only. Just looking for a competitive class to have a bit of fun in.
Yes that would be true as well? Mongo can you "help a brother out" on this one? Just trying to fill the grid a bit more on my days off.....
Sean, just looking at the Honda numbers, its going to be a pig. Even in SB trim, I dont know if it will be able to keep up with a well tuned Kaw 250R.
Can I ask your reasoning for this? A 27BHP motard doesn't stand a chance against most Clubman bikes. As far as I see it, make them* legal for E-SS, collect additional revenue and give the class some variety and increase grid size? *Honda and the WR250X
Because a motard isn't always 27 horsepower and ESS is a production street bike class. If you want to run a motard we have classes for that. Hell, I had a motard specific class and no one ran it either - adding maybe one bike to ESS won't make a bit of difference.
My bad, I thought he was talking about a production bikes. I realized that was the Honda CRF230M and the Yamaha is the WR250X. I just thought those would fit in the class.
Gotcha, no worries. That is kind of why I said with a stock 250 engine. Heck its no where near a stock ex250 power. It wont run fast enough in any other class, its just a 250 and I just ride it for fun. I agree probably would not make much difference either way that's why I thought I would see if it would be ok to ride. It would just get hammered in all the other classes including up against 450/520/560 motards.
You running stock wheels and brakes on it? If not I don't see why you would think it would be legal...
A stock 250r makes CONSIDERABLY more than 27HP, 32-38 is normal depending on year model. They are also about 100lb lighter than a EX250.
