I don't really want to launch another god debate. Although I know better than to think it's not going to happen anyway. I am just curious if the stats in here reflect society as a whole. So, on a scale of one to five (3 being agnostic), where do you put yourself?
I voted before I read Papa's first post and voted "agnostic" before I knew what he was considering agnostic. Wierd.
Well, at least add one more option..... "I think I know there is no God, but what the hell do I know anyway..." Who's on first?
How about a spot for "I'm not sure, but if there is a god what the F^#@ is he thinking half the time?"
How about I really don't know or care? Like Rancher says, if there is one, what the hell is it thinking anyways?
I had to vote for #4 because while I am confident that there is nothing there that is remotely like what people traditionally refer to as 'God' I'm also not so arrogant as to say that I definitely know that I understand everything about the true nature of things. I think of myself as _barely_ agnostic. There is a possibility that there's something there that we don't yet understand. God? Nah.
To quote David Clayton Thomas (Blood Sweat and Tears) "I swear there ain't no Heaven and I pray there ain't no Hell". Lapsed agnostic (atheist).
