Glad I was able to see him in action back in the day.

 

I stood around and talked to him on two separate occasions way back in the day , while he was wrenching and preparing his bike at Santa Fe Speedway in the pits . While he was kinda quiet, he didn’t seem annoyed by a young kid probably asking him dumb questions and didn’t shoo me away .
This was the nearing the end of the Golden Era of Racing , when guys living out of there Vans would travel around the country and do all of their wrenching and riding with no help from anyone. Glad I was able to witness a part of it . RIP .. Racer
