Guy comes into my office and has a serious (to him) problem. He starts to talk and i immediately interupt him and with a stern look on my face and deep. strong tone of voice im like...."Before you start talking, you need to think about this 'crisis' and determine how important it is. I don't feel like dealing with bullshit right now so if you deem this problem important enough to bother me, i am going to need you to do the hokey pokey while you talk".

He kept looking at me, dumbfounded, waiting on me to laugh but i never cracked a smile.

He was just like "umm, well...uhhh.....you are serious, arent you?".

I said "Yep, i cannot be bothered right now so you need to make a choice. Either STFU and leave or put your left foot in...".

He left.


I love my job .

 

It can be dangerous but I am a firm believer in proactive solutions. Again, most our problems result from poor upbringings as children. Banning certain "offensive" phrases and words will not solve people's sensitivity issues (and mental issues). All that does is avoid the problem, it doesn't solve it.

I dunno, I started shooting rifle at 5 and pistol at 6. Had my own .30-30 at 12, .30-06 at 14. Hell we even used to take our shotguns/.22's to school to go hunting after school. :wow:
