For frame straightening, welding, wheels, rotors, and such in S. Cal., you might try Mackie in Siera Madre. I understand he taught Dr. John, if that is the doctor you are referring to? Also, when I checked on rim straightening Mackie was almost 50% less for the same wheels.

I know they do a lot of stuff for local racers, police dept's, bike shops, etc. He's a fun guy to talk with too.
