i just picked up a cbr600 2007. Saw a little oil leak from the clutch cover and decided to open and change it, but i saw that the chain for the oil pump is kind of loose. The bike works fine so far, but i just wanted to ask did somebody replace that chain and is it necessary or just leave it like this. On the cluster of the bike shows 15k..

They are normal that way with some slack, some have more than others. Some have little chain guides and plastic slippers and such but I have never seen one really tight. I know I am not looking at yours but I'd be willing to bet the amount of slack is normal.

Thank you for the info. I did some research on that and everybody says that it is normal to be looser since there is no oil pressure problems. I guess im not going to bother to replace it.
