For those who are interested, I don't know if it will be broadcast at the same time in the US, but CNN international is showing a special program tonight called something like "the search for the roots of 9/11." It's a piece by three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Thomas Friedman whose book recommended earlier on the thread. It should be interesting.

t316, I have not read that link yet. I will after I post this.

My ignored buddy, I would take your offer to sink my teeth into your ass but to show support for my Muslim terrorists friends, I don't eat pork. Damn, I responded to you again. You own me.:D

OH NO! An American citizen who has dedicated his life to serving his country standing in his place of worship and excercising his right to free speech! How unamerican can you get!

And invoking the name of God against our countries enemies, too.
You'll never see that in the democracy loving human-rights havens in the Middle-East.

And who better to point it out than shills for the Arab political movement in the US. Aided, of course, by a couple of Dems running for President. No chance of anyone there having an agenda. Just trying to keep America pure. What patriots.

When Gen. Boykin is wearing his uniform, isn't he a soldier representing the US Dept of Defence? Or is he a private citizen expressing his personal opinions?

If it's the former, how are his comments any different from an enlisted soldier in Iraq giving his opinion to a reporter?

At the very least, somebody needs to sit Boykin down and explain about "propaganda."

this, from a pansy canadian of course. hey, maybe you could focus on some decent healthcare for yourself.

I doubt his comments are going to make any difference to people who already hate us. If they don't use one excuse, they will use another.

Removing him from his position over something this inconsequential would send a far worse message to the enemy. Were the situation reversed, had a similar thought been voiced by an Arab military leader, there would be mobs cheering him in the streets.

By the way, anyone noticed that one of the General's outspoken judges and critics, Sen Kerry, is abstaining from voting on just about everything these days, including that $3400 raise they all voted themselves? Tough to pin him down on any issues when he won't take a stand. Another champion of the poor, with an $800,000,000 bank account. He came to our town and cried in the local diner over some poor woman who had to work an extra job to make ends meet but didn't give her a dime of his own money. He'd rather give her yours.

The General should ask his God to save us from Massachusetts Democrats.

the problem with Boykin's comments is his rank, Undersecretary of the Schnizzzel Minizzzzzel, ya know what I'm sayin'. This could easily be misconstrued as public policy and not personal opinion.

One wonders if we would even be talking about this issue, if he appeared in a suit, instead of his uniform. Maybe?? I think so.

Ann Coulter gets routinely slapped around on Bill Maher.

Remember, that "Record Surplus" was built on all the $250/share companies now worth zero, and all the accounting frauds that under Clinton were "overlooked" by the SEC.

Bush is cleaning house, and it will raise some dust before it is over.

However, the war thing - without a transition plan - is baaaad. Wouldn't be prudent...

RE Ann Coulter: Someone on Saturday Night Live said it best:

"Ann, I would call you a media whore but that would be insulting to hookers.":D

All we need is the Boykin fiasco to make our government look like Crusaders against all of Islam. He shold have known better than to spout off such idiotic drivel when we need to hang on to the few islamic allies we have, like Pakistan, Saudi, and Yemen. Of course, Ann doesn't really understand this, or does but has decided to make her living by being just a right wing version of Al Franken.

    Please this dickbreath.

You know that the way it works is that folks w/o ins just show up in ERs and that the Hospital has to treat regardless. And you know that those w/o ins don't get to have primary docs unless they can afford to pay, right?
