sweet, i like how mx/sx has gone since 2 strokes are outdated.
i have no issue with moto3.

i just hope more manufacturers join the fray.

how many different brands actively participate in 125gp?

I like 2T GP bikes a lot, but Moto2 is great and 250cc Single 4T race bikes will be even better. The hotrod Moriwaki's are badass.

Two strokes. Meh...I always seem to be pitted next to some guy who braaaps the throttle for like 2 hours before he goes out and does 4 laps.

The moto2 class is SO MUCH MORE interesting to watch than the GP races are this year. I'm sure the 250 4stk will be just as interesting.

    178SV now retired...

Every friggin' time I'm at the track trying to catch a nap. It sounded the same the last 200 times, do you really think it'll sound different the next blip?

2-strokes have their noise, but nothing is as bad as the monotoned fart from a 450 single!

I don't like the sound of two strokes and I know nothing about them, but isn't there a reason they warm them up like that?

I always thought of it more as an "UN nun nun nun nun nun nun nun" sound

  17. pickled egg

pickled egg There is no “try”

You'll just have to listen to replays of the World Cup to get your 2-stroke sound fix...you'll just have to imagine some throttle modulation. :D

  18. caboose

    caboose I love peanut butter!

There's no idle circuit in the carb, it'll just stall if you don't do that and they run like crap when they're cold. Unfortunately, the only way to warm them up prior to hitting the track is......

The honest to god reason we do it is to piss off 4 strokers. It's that simple.

If you go to any 2stroke owners manual; RD, RZ, TZ, RS etc. etc., section 3 paragraph 4, it states: "When around the owner of a 4 stroke bike, rev your engine incessantly for an inordinate amount of time to show them the superiority of your machine".

It's in writing; we have to follow the rules.

    Sorry

Ahhh, the sweet sound of a REAL race bike!!!!

I'd bet 99.99% of the 2 stroke haters have never ridden/raced one.

The 125 GP's are always some of the best racing around, 250 thumpers taking over will be a sad day. :(

And if they piss off that grumpy old bastid H8R, even better!!! :p
