looks like Yamaha tried to negotiate and work something out, but Tech3 already had a deal ready.

You think it’ll be Honda? Has KTM talked about doing a satellite team?

 

Itll be ktm or suzuki. Im hoping suzuki, but expecting ktm.

 

Does anyone really blame him? He's been the top satellite squad for years and Yamaha has been rumored to be fielding a Rossi owned squad for a while now. It's business but you don't treat people like that.

 

Steeltoe wants them to run a Suzuki so there can be 4 mosquito fogging machines on the track for the bad bug days.

 

Yeah but from the wording, it seems Yamaha wanted to keep Tech3 around.

But they received a deal they couldn't refuse.

 

Smaller rental fees and more factory parts....maybe even a current year model? Wonder how this affect Zarco, his contract must be up, no?

Who is there Moto2 chassis supplier? I bet they got a package deal from KTM and will be making a double swap.

As long as it's not more Ducati's or Honda's. KTM, or Suzuki getting a bikes into a capable team like Tech 3 is a good thing for the series. This also potentially opens up an opportunity for Rossi to run a Yamaha satellite team. Alot of interesting possibilities here.

 

Don't think they can field anymore Ducatis. Think there is a manufacturer cap on that.

 

Well damn, thats too bad. Hopefully, for them, it's factory bikes/support from KTM. Anything else would be a step backward, I think.

 

Makes a lot of sense on both sides. Tech 3, although a smaller team has their shit together. KTM doesn’t have the depth in the RR world. Mix the two together and I’d be willing to place a bet the bike will get better. I think if it is Ktm it would make a lot of sense.
