BMW the 2 wheel one

Where you bmw guys buy OEM parts?
I need 1st and 5th gear on output shaft, local dealer say I have to buy input shaft and 5th input gear with it, $1300.
Is there way around to just buy parts I need?

 

Try Max BMW, they are a dealer in CT with a big online presence, but still a deal.

If you are talking about an S1000RR try S1000RRforum.com, people always parting things out on there. Or ebay.

Do SV's even have more than 2 gears?

 

Both bikes mostly use 2 gears, sv 4th and 5th and bmw 1st and 2nd
I remember my old gsxr1k at Sonoma, hit 3rd gear once everything else is 1-2-1. Probably why this bmw got damaged 1st gear, to many downshifts in to 1st.

 

What year? I have a motor I am pulling out of mine right now that the transmission is still good.

Mine is 2016.

Thanks. Looked through classifieds but nothing other than complete motor.
If I don't find anything here I will buy parts in Europe next month since I am going there. Cheaper over there.
