@ChemGuy Changing out the weather stripping that goes down both sides of the cab on my Ram 2500. What's best for removing old adhesive and then for laying down the new pieces? It's hot down here in Florida already of that matters.
3M weatherstrip adhesive. Any auto paint & supply shop will have it. Works great for gluing grips on also.
It looks like there are a couple different colors of the 3m product. Is that just for looks or are there other differences?
3m makes a weatherstrip adhesive remover spray. use that or something like goo off or other adhesive remover.
This stuff is great for removing old adhesive from molding, badges, graphics adhesive and wheel weight adhesive. Amazon.com: TRANSTAR 9784 Acry Solvent - 1 Quart : Automotive
windshield urethane for your reinstall, permanent... never coming off. dont get any on you, it is like anti-seize... gets ERRRYWHARE! Ski
And use an automotive adhesive promoter (one designed for foam tape. Like the brand Probond) before installing the weather stripping.
