Ill see your Shervin and JB weld you a Lever....
Sort of yes. Their 790 version is delayed in release.
My concern with that option is a small company making all proprietary components. What if they disappear in the next downturn?
I am hoping to build a bike that uses existing bodywork, tank, etc so things can be replaced or upgraded.
Wouldn't it be easier to have a tank and bodywork made if that did happen, as opposed to having a custom frame made?
Nah, that'll never work.
It makes too much sense.
What is it you want to build specifically?
Look for Dave Lamarrel (not sure on the last name spelling. Did some cool custom frames for 675, R6, and other Triumph motors.
Lamaril and I've been trying to find pics of his bikes for a few days with no luck. He was at NJMP some years back with some amazing bikes he built.
A pic I took a long ass time ago at Thunderbolt.
Thanks for the link, I had been trying to find this company before I posted it on the forum.
We have a nice custom chromoly frame and arm, has the Bimoto style billet side engine mounts, so you can change them and lumps.
Its setup for an SV now. Swinger is braced with direct link shock mount like Ducati. Checked Pete@GMD and made perfect.
It's New and powder coated Duc Red, built By Marc Rowe of Dirico and Monster Garage fame..
been collecting dust, love to see someone use it. PM or email me..
You can't tease us with a description like that and not share a pic!
It's buried,,, It's soo bad here, Kcraget called Hoarders on us...
PM'd regarding this.
edit- whoops, page 1 is full of framecrafters references.
How many projects do you need???
The LaMerrill stuff is legit. I seen some of his stuff couple years ago at the GNF and it looked MOTO2 quality.
It is. Bring big $$$$.
Ed Johnson in Greenville, SC has mad skills. He's built frames, swingarms, tanks, done full restorations, pretty much anything. His quality is superb and his work is ALWAYS right. But, he is usually very busy and a full on custom project might take a loooooong time in Ed's universe.
